Updated Note – Community Practice Sessions

Back in 2015 this post shared a community calendar that helped dancers find open practice sessions across New Jersey. The goal was simple: give B-boys, B-girls, and anyone interested in breaking a way to connect with spaces where people were training, exchanging ideas, and building the culture together.
The original calendar that was linked here is no longer available.  However, the idea behind it still exists today. Open sessions and cyphers remain one of the most important parts of how dancers learn, grow, and stay connected to the community.
Today there are tools that help dancers find practice spaces around the world. One example is Break The Map, a community-driven platform where people can discover breaking practice locations and sessions.
