So what fuels your pursuit to keep going with this dance ?

Ahhh right! I remember meeting ya recently out there! Great to hear from you again ?? Skype will work for the footy on my end. For me, this dance/culture has reeaalllyyy became my lifestyle since a really young age (8 years old). During this time the fuel for me has changed DRASTICALLY. But my drive to become recognized as a person who gave his all in spreading the positive values and love of his passion to as many people as he could, is currently my fuel to keep me going.

How were you introduced to the dance ?

Bboy VanillaNice:
Hmmmm, lots of things have changed. I think the biggest influence in that change was the urge to really make a living doing what I love. As I grew older, going through school I quickly realized nobody knows what they wanna do with their time. Barely anyone knows what they even love to do. Since I was blessed to have that knowledge, deciding to really buckle down and make a living doing what I loved became a big influence in my change of fuel

I was introduced to the dance through learning how to do the worm, people around me callin it breakin, me begging my mom to find someone to teach me and then finally taking studio classes from Bboy dedikate from MZK. From there, I went to my first battle in a bar in Dayton and I fell in love

Really learning the worm? Lol nice and then it turned into more ..? How was that experience in taking classes and learning? How was that first battle ?

Bboy VanillaNice:
Well, taking classes in a studio always had a generic feel, but having such a great teacher, he invited me to his crew’s practice too. Though I was taking a class a week from him through the studio, most of my lessons in breaking were taught through crew practices 2 or 3 times a week with Seth, Vixx, Tyquan, etc.. that first battle was magic tho. The culture was super inviting. I still can’t believe they let me as an 8 year old into the bar ? of course my mom was with me but still haha

When I went to that first jam, it really changed my perspective of breakin. I finally saw the dance as something more than Just a couple people do. It was really a community. And a community that showed me maddddd love at that

Bboy Bgirl Lifestyle:
Word , finding that sense of acceptance and unity of like minds does do something influential.

So how have you been able to put all these experience and move forward creating a career path for
yourself ?

Bboy VanillaNice:
Hmmmmm, all of these experiences really forged the way for me to continue breakin. Every jam I went to from then on, I tried to treat as a learning experience. I took lessons from all my losses, wins and ties. Really thought about how I felt while I was breaking and what I thought of the culture. Through those thoughts and emotions, I was provoked to dedicate myself to this culture and dance helping create the right mind set to make it my career.

with pleasure, so it's going to be two years that I dance breakdance before I was in France team rhythmic gymnastics or the flexibility that I possede.My boyfriend is breakdance, it's him who even me motivated to put me in breakdance. For the year 2018 I prepare big passage. i will probably go to russia for the combo nation, then i'll see ahah

Nice??, is there something from your experience in doing rhythmic gymnastics that you see Bboy’s and Bgirls can benefit from that we maybe don’t do? Great to know your partner is who motivated you to begin in the journey of this dance. How does your approach to the dance and his approach to the dance differ ?

in Russia it will be the battle combo nation, my friend is very explosive, I love this dance, and it is very complete, toprock footwork, powermove and style.

I'm more flexibility and originality, all the movements that I do my movements, I try to ensure that no one can reproduce! Ah ah

When i was still doing house i needed stuff for the floor so my best friend wich is a bboy was teaching me stuff until i slowly stoo doing house and just got addicted to breaking

Well i dance since i was 3 is just so in me i everythung i do and it just takes my whole life
I stop house cause in my opinion if u really want to be good at something u have to focus 100% on that. U cant just half focus or think u will manage to be good at 2 styles...
When i make the decision to just focus on breakin i said i dont want to be average i dont want to be like this bgirls slow footwork bad posture... i want to be a good one

Hello, so what fuels you to keep you kids with this dance? Do you break as well?

Ms. Leah:
I do not break, but I've always loved watching break dancers. It's definitely my favorite form of dance. The biggest things that fuel me to keep my kids breakdancing, is the huge boost in confidence I have seen in them since they started breaking and also how much fun they have while doing it. They also have some fantastic teachers and mentors.

Bboy Bgirl Lifestyle:
Nice, how important is that confidence factor? What changes did you notice?

Where have you watched breaking ??

Ms. Leah:
I believe confidence is key in order to be successful in life, no matter what you are doing. When you have built up confidence in one area in your life, it's easier to be confident when learning new and hard things as you get older.

The biggest changes I have noticed is they are more willing to go out of their comfort zone. Whether it be with their interactions with others or just wanting to try new things or new moves.
I was introduced to breakdancing at a church dance when I was 14. I just always found it so impressive when anyone would bust out a power move. Now I get to be equally impressed when my kids bust out their own power moves ?

Bboy Bgirl Lifestyle:
I overstand what you mean with the confidence booster in being able to accomplish or obtain something you work for , in which in breaking its that moment of seeing practice come to fruition.

Being able to appeal to what they are into based of you prior experience defiantly helps you relate with them.
