Thank you !!!

Thank you to all the families and children that attended our 2017 Summer Program. With no expectations at all, from the children and their families, participants were given just a small example of what Hip Hop , its culture, its'practitioners , are about. From Djing, Emceeing, Graffiti Writing aka Aerosol Art Writing Bombing , to Breakin : Bboying & Bgirling , the kids were able to take part in a Hip Hop 101 class daily in actually thinking , & doing the elements that make up our culture of Hip Hop. I HOPE THE MOMENTS EMBRACED IN EACH ELEMENT SPARKS A SEED OF A GOOD MEMORY / MOMENT IN TIME. Thank you for sharing WHAT WE AS PRACTITIONERS DO and GROW DAILY.

Yes we can schedule an skype conversation but now I'm traveling a lot until 2 more weeks, cause I have bad internet and all that. Now I'm in Amsterdam to "summer dance forever " event
My fuels is the learning, and experience to dance with people from everywhere, show my Chileans skills to the world ?

Yes! When I will be in France I will be in a good place to talk by skype, in 10 more days...
Summer dance forever is a big event from hiphop, house, and another's styles. This year don't have Breaking, but I love house and hiphop freestyle to learn it... it is in Amsterdam every year, really nice. (U can google it)

I start learning like "profetionaly" on 2009. In 2011 I travel to L.A, California 2 month and take classes in a dance studio. Also learn some Breaking with bboys like Ynot.

Then I travel to another's city's, Argentina, Brasil, learning, battleing, etc.
In 2015 I went to NYC
And now I'm in Europe for 3 months in different cities ?

I started in a dance studio, then, practice in other popular places, metros stations, etc. then I practice with a crew, called onetan, they teach me olmos y everything that I know.

The Breaking culture is about brothers and sisters in every place. You don't need to know how to speak the lenguaje, you can communicated with everyone dancing, in the cyphers...
the most bigger difference... I see that in my country we need more organization and good production for de events in general.. here in Europe or in EEUU is really organized. But Is something that we working about it

That's a great question if I can be as honest as possible I would say the music. Music moves me no matter what kind of day I've had or how I'm feeling weather tired sore sick hahah music fuels my dance and sets my soul on fire!!!

Oommggg time flies!!! About 20 yrs
All together even including years off because of injuries it was still on my mind hahah
Challenges have always been just injuries when you reach a certain peak in your skills and your ready to take in the battles you get hurt and it all resets I've had knee surgeries. my most recent one that took me out the battle scene for 3 years now has been my lumbar I haven't been the same ? but I strengthen my body stronger then ever before
Just a little nervous to go hard core again hahaha

I was dancing since 6 years latina dance. After interrapting. My soul missed about dance and i go to club dance)). After I had changed the schedule at school and the only place I could go was the break. I did not like the break, I just wanted to dance. Now I can not imagine my life without a break.

My parents are artisits. While the pope spent his whole life engaged in hand-to-hand combat. My mother used to take gymnastic art. In our family there has always been art and sport.
I did not like to break, just because I did not know what it was. something old-fashioned
This is my addiction. I can not imagine now without this because I really like it. And I myself need art and at the same time sports, in break is just these things

Powermove Because powermove is a very difficult moves Need train body power and stretch I understand , you do have to be disciplined.

What in your opinion is the best way for stretching

Example is push-ups 100 Rounds and Running and freeze combo Stretch have a many mode
So I think any mode is all best

Nd, What or how were you introduced to the dance ?

@BGirl Lil Z :
So I started dancing when I was 2 but the usual ballet, tap, jazz cute girly dancing. Then I discovered Street Dance at the age of 12 which Is where you could say I "found myself" so I started training in Street which progressed to hiphop and learning about the culture etc. There weren't many places where I lived that taught Street or hip hop but when I was 20 I found out a guy was teaching breaking so I thought why not give it a go and then voila my love for hip hop just grew
And bgirling became a huge part of my life

Nice so music has always been an influence in your life ? Where did you live ? How was the actual transition from formal structured dance to leaning about hip hop and breakin?
Fast forward to now what challenges or opportunities do you find yourself in when pursuing the dance and cont the Bgirl lifestyle ?

Yes music has been a great part of my life. I live in England and at that time I lived in a small village called South Cerney. I found the transition quite easy as I always knew ballet wasn't for me, I could never stand straight enough or pull of the rigidness so hip hop was almost a relief plus I always listened to music within that culture so it just sat right.
The moment your dancing to music that you can actually feel and get lost in was a huge game changer

As the Summer approaches, our community support continues. Thank you to Jersey City's Frank R. Conwell P.S. # 3 & Dr. Michael Conti P.S. # 5 for their end of year Collaborative Kids dance event. Thank you to all the parents, Families who allow their children to participate in our dance. Thank you to The Institue of Music for Children & Newark NJ, Marion P. Charter School for their Fall & Spring partnership. Also Thank you to CBS, especially Brad Yurcisin & Steve Overmyer for communicating, collaborating, & embracing our community. With the acceptance of Breakin' into the the Youth Olympics, a Pro Bboy Bgirl League, a Bboy Bgirl Trade Association, more Corporate Sponsored Bboys Bgirls groups & Individuals , non profit, for profit , grass roots organizations, cities, towns, states, countries, community groups friends and family, Bboys and Bgirls young and veteraned, our community continues to keep making strides and moving forward.

About Two months Ago it was approved on behalf of WCBS-TV to do some further development on what is going on in our city and around the world in regards to Breakin, its roots and where it is going. Steve Overmyer, sportscaster with WCBS-NY. reached out to the United Breakin Association in search to do a feature segment on Breakin' aka "breakdancing" . They wanted to pay tribute to the roots of this art form, and highlight where its going.

It was with all the help of our community that we were able to provide a snippet of what is happening in our BBoy Bgirl Community for those who live the BBOY BGIRL LIFESTYLE.
