 March 11. 2017 kicks off the start of our yearly 5 event series from March - August. This initiative was created to create a training / competition platform for all BGIRLS & BBOYS to test there skills in the atmosphere of battle and all the required knowledge and experience needed . Especially for dancers in the NJ/ NYC Tri state area who have a stigma of big ego's and basic skills. SO in order to stop this stigma ..aside from Me ( Rival ) & many others in our local area catching wreck with dancers in the circles and deliver some rounds , I put together these events for educational and training purposes. Being able to provide all competitors their battles for them to study and better themselves and our community. iN the video you will see two live circles with each group in a circle. I cannot agree more with the statements below by Bboy Napalm.
Especially at 1:07... I bring this to light because it's about time that our Area gets to the point of proper recognition but seizing of the stereotype of the NYC Scene as one of Politics & Lack of Skill advancement. I do take it personal as I am from this area and rep hard for all of us and our community. Personally I have been telling people in NY/NJ, that our biggest stereotype is the ego trip that is associated with this area and the politics in which none of that equate to the actual skills some one has. This is why people need to step their skills up in all aspects to clear out this experience many people notice. This is in effort for an actual betterment of our community to exist.
